The Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards continue to recognize the vital role coaches play across sport, including the growing handball community in the province. As Ontario’s highest coaching honour spanning all sports and levels, the awards celebrate coaches whose dedication extends beyond competition—shaping athletes, strengthening teams, and positively impacting their communities.

In September 2026, fifteen selected coaches from across Ontario will be honoured as part of National Coaches Week 2026, receiving a unique VIP CFL Experience at BMO Field. The celebration will bring together outstanding coaches from a wide range of sports, highlighting the shared commitment to leadership, development, and mentorship that defines coaching excellence.

For handball, the recognition underscores the importance of coaches in advancing the sport at both grassroots and high-performance levels.
