Edmonton to host 2026 National Championships

Canada’s premier handball event is set to deliver another unforgettable showdown as the nation’s top men’s and women’s teams come together to compete for national championship titles. More than just a tournament, the Canadian Championship celebrates the passion, performance, and competitive spirit that define handball across the country.

The 2026 Canadian Handball Championship will take place May 22–24 at the Tri Leisure Centre in Edmonton, featuring three regulation-sized courts to ensure a high-quality competition environment for every match. With nonstop action across multiple courts, athletes and fans alike can expect an exciting and dynamic championship atmosphere throughout the weekend.

Hosted by the Alberta Handball Federation (ATHF) in partnership with Handball Canada, the championship promises three days of elite competition, team pride, and relentless intensity as the country’s best battle for national honours.
