Handball Ontario officially opened its new Provincial Training Centre in 2025, marking a significant milestone in the development and growth of handball across the province. Located at the 360 Soccer Centre, the facility provides a dedicated, centralized hub designed to support athletes, coaches, officials, and programs at every level of the sport.

The Training Centre features two full-sized handball courts, complete with regulation markings and professional handball goals. Each court can be divided into two smaller playing areas to support mini-handball programming and elementary school handball events. In addition to serving as a high-performance training environment, the facility also houses the Handball Ontario administrative office, strengthening the connection between programming and governance under one roof.

Designed as a multi-purpose handball hub, the Provincial Training Centre will host a wide range of activities, including training sessions, competitive matches, coaching and referee education courses, and tournaments at all levels. The facility will also serve as the home base for Handball Ontario’s wheelchair handball program, scheduled to launch in 2026, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to accessibility and inclusive sport opportunities.

Strategically located at 7551 Jane Street in Vaughan, the Training Centre sits in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area and offers excellent regional accessibility. The site is positioned between Highways 407 and 7, just two minutes from Highway 400, and is within walking distance of both Highway 407 Station and Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station on the TTC’s Line 1. The facility also offers ample on-site parking.

The opening of the Handball Ontario Provincial Training Centre represents a landmark investment in the future of the sport, providing a permanent home that will support athlete development, coach education, officiating excellence, and community engagement for years to come.
