At Handball Ontario, the safety and well-being of athletes, coaches, officials, and members is our highest priority. We are committed to fostering a sport environment that is respectful, inclusive, and free from abuse, harassment, and discrimination. Safe Sport is a shared responsibility across our community, and we expect all affiliated clubs, academies, coaches, and volunteers to uphold the highest standards of conduct both on and off the court.
All coaches and designated leaders within affiliated organizations are required to complete recognized Safe Sport education and any applicable screening requirements as part of our commitment to athlete protection. We strongly encourage all members of the handball community to complete the national Safe Sport Training available through the Coaching Association of Canada:

By prioritizing education, accountability, and proactive prevention, Handball Ontario continues to strengthen a culture where athletes can train, compete, and grow in a safe and supportive environment.
