Handball is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outfield players and a goalkeeper) face each other.
Players pass a ball using your hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team.
The game is quite fast and includes body contact as the defenders try to stop the attackers from approaching the goal.
A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins.
The sport is played on a court 40 by 20 metres (130 × 66 ft), with a goal in the center of each end. The goals are surrounded by a near-semicircular area, called the zone or the crease, defined by a line six meters from the goal.
Goals are scored quite frequently; usually both teams score at least 20 goals each! A valid goal must pass the goalie's line. After each goal, the scoring team goes back in defense and the other team must start from the center.
